Does this help (pic in post 1)?

Sorry if this is a bit of a hijack
If I have aftermarket towing electrics, to register a bulb failure on the trailer/caravan, is all I need https://rimmerbros.com/Item--i-GRID001528 item 14 and follow this thread https://the75andztclub.co.uk/forum/s...ad.php?t=18356 Will this work with after market towing electrics or does it need to be genuine? I have Hi line dash display, is this where the bulb failure warning comes up? what bulbs does kit monitor? I've never considered monitoring the trailer bulbs until this thread macafee2 |

Ian,
The extra wire to the light switch is not something that would be easy to add to an aftermarket relay, as the relay needs to tell the light switch the has been a Bulb failure, which is done as a message on the extra wire mentioned in post 1. The BMW equvilent part can be fitted, as per this post https://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/for...6&postcount=17 As for the original posters query, the pin is not anything special I find something that fitted in a random board connector from farnell. Could have been one of these? https://uk.farnell.com/wurth-elektro...imp/dp/2113407

Does the BMW 61.35-8 369 019 relay replace the TEB7AS relay which I currently use to work the trailer lights? Does the BMW relay wire into the cars harness the same as the TEB7AS relay? macafee2 |

Hi Ian,
The BMW relay does indeed replace the TEB7AS relay, and takes the same inputs as the existing relay too. The post I linked to, details the connections to the relay, but not the wire colours (As I retrofitted the BMW relay in place of the original towing relay - so I didn't go right back to the car loom again, rather just used the cables I had already fitted)
