Default What headlights are these?

A mate who is looking at getting a Tourer or a ZTT has mentioned "clear" headlights on some cars

I sent him this link, even though he really wants a diesel, and he says that these are the lights he is referring to

Are they Xenons?

The headlamps with the 'bullseye' lens inside are projectors. Projectors come in both filament bulb and HID flavours. In MGR speak, HIDs are xenons, but the term doesn't mean much otherwise.

You can also fit HID burners in 'ordinary' lamps these days, using special kits.

Hiya. I believe they are yes... Although I am sure someone will be able to tell you for certain better than me.

They are Projector headlamps as noted by others & probably Xenon as the car has the power wash.

Yes it always puzzles me why people put that phrase in their ads, I suppose it's the posh equivalent of 'cheap as chips'

Looking at the advert i can also confirm they a genuine xenon gas discharge lamps..

It seems a well kept car with a good specification at decent money the mileage would put most of the buyers off but it is 11 years old and loads of history.

Ta folks!

(as far as advert terms goes, there's a lot that get my goat like

"first to see will buy" says who?

"84000 from new" as opposed to.....?

etc)

They are clearly Xenon headlamps as you can see the writing in the right hand headlamp in the 2nd picture.

Projectos do not have any writing within the headlamp
