Wink When do you take out a 2nd mortgage to pay for a Headlight Unit change?

When you own a Renault Megane !!!!!!!

My Neighbour was in the market for a new car, So I suggested a 75, after all why not !!

They bought an 04 Plate Renault Megane :p

While washing the car they noticed a lot of condensation within the headlamp unit and afterwards the unit stopped working. So off to the Garage they went.

Turns out the Headlamp unit had been damaged at some point and needed replacing along with an electric switch / motor that is used to lower / raise the headlamp level.

The cost? £400 (parts and labour)

Just to have a lightbulb Changed is £80 as apparently the lightbulb is a pain to do and there is a video on tube that shows an AA Man struggling to do it lol - Apparently took him nearly two hours so I heard.

They should have bought a 75.........lol

There was some talk, a while back, that you wouldn't even be able to dispense fuel to your car on a forecourt unless you were "suitably trained and qualified".

Here's a clever idea. Pull up at the forecourt and somebody suitably qualified walks out, fills your tank, cleans your screen, takes your payment and wishes you a "good day"

I'm surprised nobody has thought of it already

It's not an exceptional amount to pay. I think the 75 headlights cost more than that. Especially if you have Xenons.
