![]() Hi, i'm a newbie on here. I have a 1999 2.0 KV6 75 that will turn over but not fire. There is no movement on the rev counter when cranking. I've looked elsewhere on here and found a post that suggests the crankshaft sensor could be the culprit. Any advice greatly appreciated.

![]() Hello Antony,
You can check the crankshaft position sensor by listening to the fuel pump whilst an assistant cranks the engine. The pump will run for 2 seconds when the ignition is first switched on, but a signal from the crankshaft position sensor is required to run the pump during cranking. As your car was built in 1999 we can rule out fuel filter separation. Simon
