Default New VED Table (Why! Why! Why!).....

....are none of the 190 owners whooping for joy and spreading wallet filled happiness across the forum?

After all you've just saved £200 in 2009/10 and £185 in 2010/11 under the new proposals.

Ok, who knows what our wonderful leaders will do after 2011 but for now it seems to be a sweet deal.

Don't forget the Chancellor also said no Fuel Increases before April 2009 only three weeks ago,
and that all went out the window yesterday.

It will happen don't worry.

The ZT190 will now sit in band K as below: (edit) as will the 180 Auto and the V8

K** 201-225g/km 2009/10 £215 2010/11 £245
** Includes cars emitting over 225g/km registered between 1 March 2001 and 23 March 2006

Cars that emit over 225 g/km, but were registered between 1 March 2001 and
23 March 2006, will be moved into the new band K in 2009 and stay there in
2010. This will mean that they maintain their exemption from the top rate of
VED. (for now)

Indeed, what happens in 2011? Like I've said elsewhere, hopefully someone will be in power who has common sense and wont push it through and it'll get abandoned for the robbing scheme it is!

Imagine you got mugged today, and the mugger took £300 from your wallet. Then, before running off, he gives you £100 back and says he'll mug you later and take the rest.

Not exactly a reason to celebrate...!

Exactly. It always amazes me that people become blinkered when there is a nice little sweetener. Next thing you know, they're back in and we're all complaining about tax rises, fuel duty, etc, etc, etc. GET THEM OUT AT THE NEXT OPPORTUNITY! I know it'll be another shower of highwaymen/pirates but at least this lot won't be able to continue on their little spending spree.
