I saw this and was worried to be honest after all I've just spent on mine! Pretty good chance my Cavalier won't run on it, either. Will there be an additive like before with leaded to unleaded, or are we in doggy doos?

It was discussed a few years back here and here and the consensus then seemed to be that it was ok.

I see in the article VW Golf 's at circa 28,000 are the most common car affected by the proposal - however there are surely more than 28,000 75's still on the road not counting ZT's

It does seem a strange list of cars to highlight

I mean Subaru?

Really?

Also I noticed all makes of Land Rover are compatible. Now correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't the Freelander available with a K-Series engine? Why should that be compatible but a Rover/MG isn't?

Thumbs up

Both my Rovers are 100% fuelled with Ethanol (85% max in Summer, 70% max in Winter), 25 since more than a year and 75 since nearly a year.
It's a very bliss: engine noise is a bit smoother, torque is a bit better in the low revs and ethanol is a very good cleaner of the engine.
I know lots of mates who are fuelling their car with ethanol since years without any ethanol related problem.
Only downside: there is a normal overconsumption so the autonomy is sensibly reduced. But in France kitties love ethanol!
