The car was registered in March 2004 and I purchased it just over a year later with 20,000 miles on. I have covered a very happy and enjoyable 180,000 miles in this great car bringing the current mileage to just over 200k. Being an ex Rolls Royce mechanic, and having a warranty on the car, I have been able to keep the car running well and as intended but at 80 years young, my age is getting the better of me. Also, my son very generously surprised me with a new MG ZS on Christmas day and sadly have no use for two cars! The car, paint, chrome and wheels are generally nice and bright and as should be and very good for this age but of course are showing signs of age. The OSF corner was scuffed recently and would need a blow over, nothing major. There is a small dent on the OSF wing as well. The NS side sill is scuffed as I caught the corner of a kerb a while back and needs some attention from the next owner. No major accident damage since I have owned it. Everything on the car works as expected apart from the tailgate window doesn't open and I suspect the switch has given up. I do have a spare rear window with a working switch that can go with the car. The LED display on the dash has lost its clarity which is a common problem and an occasional slight knock from the NSF which I think it a wishbone. I am reluctantly selling this as I bought it with every intention of being my last car as my first every car was a Rover so would like this to go to a good home where someone can give it the attention it needs. I think £750 - £800 is fair for this car and if sold for that I will include the wooden steering wheel, spare tailgate glass and an additional spare wheel (6 in total). If I need to discount the car by much then I will probably fit the original (non-wooden) steering wheel and sell the spare wheel and tailgate glass separately. Everything is negotiable in the world.... Car is currently stored off-road near Harlow in Essex and postcode is CM5. Last edited by pbaker; 17th January 2018 at 14:39.. Reason: SOLD |
