Default Blimey Really gone Intercooler 'O' rings

Was at Jules place yesterday afternoon,
and having just finished someone else service and "O" rings had a look at mine.
Well I had lost some acceleration and said I had some "hissy" noises
but both of us were shocked by what we saw.
Jules said it was the worst he had ever seen,
#bare in mind also a 2005 Vehicle, and he described it as must be driven Spirited or foot on floor!!

We took off Front bumper first.

Then removed Headlamp

Oh Dear

It does Indeed have 2 Rings.

Now that seems slightly swelled
Also had to remove loads of oil that had filled at bottom.

Oil everywhere.
Notice Air Horns also Installed, now they make a nice noise in conjunction with normal Horn.

All changed, Cleaned up where necessary will be using a cleaner this weekend to remove all the rest.

Then we moved onto a couple of minor other faults,
Chaffed leads and rubbing Oil con pipes.
Good day was had by both of us, with Chat, Choccy bars and coffee.

Heat sealing/shrinking the Joints in cable for Horn Circuits.

Side note on your horn, I have what looks like the same airhorn, Sebel Nautilus is that John? I'm not overly impressed with it, I have it in the same location as you and felt as if it was a bit of a let down.

The horn I believe is that model (box now at Jule's)
But it is extremely loud and No problems at all in being heard.
Brought Jules' neighbours out anyway, and far better than the poor MGR horns.

Without sounding rude you have the wires around correct way?
That is the Horn now supplied by XPart as the replacement for Horns.

Yes I'm fairly sure I have it in the right way, might be worth me double checking next time I have the bumper off. I spent a bit of time labeling up the wires so I didn't get confused but worth a double check. Everyone tells me it was a loud horn to get. When I first installed it I thought it was good, put the bumper back on and a week later I had my doubts!

Maybe I'm just pining for a train horn....

Train Horn would be good if it could be fitted under there.

I'm sure you did, but also ensure you have at least one of the original horns working to comply with regulations re delay in air horn compressor running.
You will hear the MGR horn fractionally before the Air Horns.

Hi John,
I am a bit puzzled as to how your's has that type of o-ring fitting, it being a 2005 model, I thought they changed the design around 2003 or there abouts.

regards bill.

All the models I and Jules has seen have been the same configuration and he has changed quite a few now.
I thought mine didn't have them as you say being a 2005 model so when Jules originally pointed it out I thought I'd better start investigating.

Hi Bill, John & Monk !!
If I ever come across a different intercooler I'll certainly get pics!!
No mention on EPC of a different drawing.

Dave John's new Horn is 1000dB's!!!!
Must be something wrong with yours I suspect.
I take it you took the purple wire to the +POS terminal of new horn?
