Default Headlining material

All of the cars in Australia suffer headlining separation, door card lining separation, A pillar lining separation and C pillar separation.

I know that the headlining has a foam backing but A and C pillars do not have that foam. I been told the the original material (Sandstone beige) is not available, can someone confirm this.

No it's not but there is a company in Sydney has an exact match although it is a foam backed material. It's listed as beige. There is also another colour which is pretty close to the Mgzt smokestone .I have used it many times and it's so close in colour it's hard to tell any difference.
Company is called Home upholsterer and used their Bondit high temp glue or use hi temp glue by Tensorgrip l17 glue

The SD1 Rovers also suffered with the headlining dropping. With age plus the heat I suppose the outer material separates as the foam backing deteriorates.

I used a company in the U.K. (Woolies) for new material and re lined my SD1 Vitesse. It's stood the test of time as that was over 8 years ago and it still looks like new.

Your right about the pillars though they are not covered with the same material as the headlining. It looks like they have been sprayed with a flock type of material to match the headlining but I suppose you could cover them with the roof material as Rover did on the SD1.
