Default heating help

i have a 99 2.5 v6 75, but hte heating seems to be really funny, when i do have it on, warm air (not hot) only comes from drivers side footwell and windscreen every where else is cold, tbh the air con hasn't been regassed for at least the 3 years we've had it, but why is the air only warm from certain areas and cold from the rest, i still dont think its as warm as it should be from anywhere anyway

any ideas??

could be a blocked heater matrix! not too bad a job as it can be removed from the drivers foot well and be flushed

from the drivers footwell you can see the 2 metal pipes that go into the matrix, there are two joining clamps that need to be removed and coolant will be lost! the matrix slides out and can be filled with hot water. Feel over the matrix for differing temps and flush if need be. Not a difficult or long job but a bit messy - see if anybody comes up with any other ideas first
