Talking Announcement: New Brand and new club badges

We are proud to announce the new club colours - you have had to wait a bit but hopefully it will be worth the wait . The following is the design of the new club badge.

You will slowly start to see this image being used to replace images on club pages, etc.

To kick off (as promised) we have ordered our first batch of club merchandise. Our stock products consist of:

A metal and enamel with acrylic cover lapel badge

A tan leather keyfob with metal and enamel with acrylic cover badge

An iron-on/sew-on embroidered badge

A metal and enamel with acrylic cover grille badge with two studs at rear.

These are TOP QUALITY products, we have just seen and approved the pre-production samples and we are very VERY pleased. Production is going ahead and the first batch will hopefully be with us by the beginning of September. Although I may be biased (as I designed them!) these products really do exude quality and are fitting for our club, our members and our cars.

We will NOT be taking any pre-orders, we prefer to do that once the first batch is in our hands. However we decided to let you know what we are doing and what to expect.

Below you can see an image of the badges and the prices they will be selling for. Note that the badges are Post & Packing FREE for postage to the UK and RI, there will however be a nominal postage charge for postage overseas.

You will notice also that there is a discounted price for subscribed members and one for registered members. We feel that this is one important way we can show our gratitude to subscribed members for their support to the club, through these reduced prices.

Click the following link to see a short video clip of the badges as the photographs really do not do them any justice: Club badges released: promotional video.

If you want an idea of sizes these are given below (note that a 50p will fit into the ring of the keyfob).

So here you go - the first of our merchandise, we hope you like them and we hope that you buy them them too! Whether there is a second batch depends greatly on how these sell ... look out also in the future for other club merchandise sporting the new club colours.

Yours

Christopher, Ken and Pete

Hi Christopher the new badges look super and will no doubt be a big hit with members but there is going to be as far as I can see with facelift models on fitting to the grill as you know that the grill cannot be removed as a separate item looking forward to your comments

The grille badge is a standard grille mounted badge - we are aware of the issue with face-lifts and are looking at how that might be sorted. It has been suggested the badge could be mounted lower down on these models. But we are looking at what could be done.

Hi Chris, Congratulations on these great products. I certainly will have the grill badge and the iron-ons. Once again, many thanks for all your hard work. John.

Good work

I'll be having Grille badge and key rings in due course.

The discount for the grille badge equals the annual club payment as well

Why wouldn't people join now?

Nice badge!

Unfortunately, the only Badge space left on my Mk 1 grille is where the secondary release lever pokes out. On later Mk1 cars, this lever was moved. Is updating the mechanism a straightforward proposition, or not worth the expense?
