A couple of queries??!!
Unfortunately my 02 diesel Saloon was condemned recently by an MOT tester who ran out of ink writing the very long epitaph, silver lining though was a very nice 03 (actually 2004) tourer which I found not too far away, all good but there were some questions I had that someone might help with,
1. The new car does not have parking sensors, or does it? It has a tow bar fitted, so I thought I would check, the Haynes manual says if there is an ECU it would be on the right side of the luggage area behind a panel with a twist lock? Apparentley not in my car, unless I'm looking for it in the wrong place, any ideas anyone? I also have parking sensors on the old saloon what are the chances of successfully swapping them over? 2. The windscreen wash gives an initial good squirt and then sort of dribbles, like many other things in life, a worn out pump or something else? 3, This new one has some odd looking CD player (though the CD player does not work) with a flip front, looks like a factory job (comes up with Rover on the display but I have never seen one before) I have the old standard radio and CD changer from the saloon but no security code, what are the chances of successfully transplanting? For the parking sensors, you'll be able to see the sensors on the rear bumper if you have them - 4 circular sensors fitted about half-way down.
The washer pump will be the small filter on the inlet to it - if you blow quite hard down the line to the pump, you'll usually clear it. A more permanent solution is to remove the pump (bumper off job) and clean the filter.

Thanks I will have a go at de-gunging the filter for the washers. It is strange about the rear parking sensors though because I always expected there to be four round sensors on the bumper but my old saloon had rear parking sensors but yet no visible sensors on the rear bumper? With regard to the radio has anyone any idea where I might be able to get the security code from?

This is a universal kit, I have seen people discuss as having fitted with great success. Check to see if there is a handbook, and it may be contained within this, normally handwritten. There are online services that can retrieve the code, but it may be cheaper to request a working stereo from a trader on here. (remember it may not have a code).
