Nearly In The 100 Club
Hi All
I'm approaching the 100 club in my pride and joy & after watching the new episode of Wheeler Dealer Ed China mentioned changing the chain after a 100,000 miles. Is this for all chain driven cars or just the merc he was working on? Also does anyone know if there's anything else I should be doing to make sure I get another 100,000 miles of pleasurable driving? Any advice appreciated, Thanx Zak |

Dont know if anyone on here has changed the chains on a Cdt , but if you do change them, you should really change the cogs also, because they are likely to be 'hooked' on the teeth.

Usually the chains only rattle on (very) neglected cars, or on cars with 500,000 miles plus.
I look after a couple of 75 Tourers running as cabs in the Glasgow area, they're all on 300,000+ now and all original timing gear as far as I know.
