![]() Might be a good time to fit new wiper blades too, to help keep it pristine.

![]() Glad you're getting it fixed quickly, after your wait, but it's always disappointing when you pick up a chip.
Last time I got a new windscreen in a 75, I got half a mile before it got a massive chip, which just ended up being filled, rather than another new screen! ![]()

![]() Why do you always seem to get a stone chip so soon on a brand new screen.
![]() We should get some stonechip stickers made up to appease the gods of this sort of thing. Is Vitreous the god of laminated glass? ![]() |

![]() I had a new screen fitted in my Transit last year. The first trip out a large stone from a vehicle hit it just behind the mirror and a crack started.
I rung the insurance company and another new one was fitted the following day, the paperwork got very confusing as they thought there was a mix up in the dates. The problem is the screen is heated with a sensor for the auto wipers and lights so was nearly £600, I don't think my insurance company will make much money out of me for a while. |
