Might be a good time to fit new wiper blades too, to help keep it pristine.

So whats the worst thing that can happen ..

Just been to Dorchester Hospital , and about 5 miles on the way back.. so about 20 in total !
Lorry Steaming past ... like loon .. and whack ... stone ... Chip..

Right in ..the middle

Can't express my feeling or I'll explode the swear filter ..

Repair organised...but every job with autowindscreens seems to have 2 weeks wait .

Today as i was still pee'd off about it all, I left a Wingey comment on F-book about how long the wait is , it took 3 weeks to get the screen in

And about 15 mins after get a call from my wife saying they are popping in tommorow , as they are in the area ..

How lucky that is .!

Glad you're getting it fixed quickly, after your wait, but it's always disappointing when you pick up a chip.

Last time I got a new windscreen in a 75, I got half a mile before it got a massive chip, which just ended up being filled, rather than another new screen!

Why do you always seem to get a stone chip so soon on a brand new screen. Has happened to me a few times over the years.

We should get some stonechip stickers made up to appease the gods of this sort of thing. Is Vitreous the god of laminated glass?

I had a new screen fitted in my Transit last year. The first trip out a large stone from a vehicle hit it just behind the mirror and a crack started.

I rung the insurance company and another new one was fitted the following day, the paperwork got very confusing as they thought there was a mix up in the dates.

The problem is the screen is heated with a sensor for the auto wipers and lights so was nearly £600, I don't think my insurance company will make much money out of me for a while.
