Default Amsterdam recommedations

unfortunately not for a jolly boys outing, but rather our 15th wedding anniversary in October.

Recommendations for nice restaurants (Asian/Italian etc) please.

Thanks

Depends on your budget, and what you are expecting? There are a lot of nice little bistro type places, but they are a tad further out. Also, bigger doesn't always mean better.

Il Sogno is good for pizza, and the Pasta Factory is good for...... erm, well, pasta!
Restaurant Johannes is very highly regarded, but I have no personal experience of the place.

My personal recommendations are Vlaams Friteshuis Vleminckx, The Seafood Bar, Buffet Van Odette, Brasserie Vlaming, Koh-i-Noor, and our personal favourite, La Pompa.

When in October are you going?

Definitely don't look in the windows in daytime The ladies (term used VERY loosely) of a day are all old and weather beaten to put it politely!
