Default Captain Colleys Creeping Crack Cure

Has anybody tried this product? Supposed to permanently seal against any suspected causes of dampness.

Yes, quite amazing stuff, for sealing small cracks, but no good for anything wider. It relies upon the crack being small, to draw itself in, to seal it. It will draw itself in, anywhere water can draw itself in.

You just keep on applying it to the crack, until it stops being sucked in, then you know it has filled it up and sealed it.

Fix a poor handbrake; DIY ABS diagnostic unit; Loan of the spanner needed to change the CDT belts; free OBD diagnostics +MAF; Correct Bosch MAF cheap; DVB-T install in an ex-hi-line system; DD install with a HK amp; FBH servicing.

I've taken a vow of poverty. To annoy me, send money.

I've just used it to seal the leaks around the clips holding the rear windscreen trim in place. I began by removing the lower part of the trim and the apron that covers the clips; I then used compressed air to clean around the clips and disperse any water that was sitting under them. I went around each clip with the creeping crack cure and then looked at the underside of them from inside the boot; every clip except one had drawn the crack cure into the boot. I allowed the crack cure to dry and then replaced the trim. After the most recent rain I checked the boot and found no evidence of water; hopefully job done!

PS. it's Tolley's, not Colley's

Today was the first day of continual rain since I used Captain Tolley's creeping crack cure on my rear windscreen trim clips; to my great delight there is no evidence of damp in the boot!

I've used this stuff on my caravan around the window seals with great success. It gets drawn into the small gaps by capillary attraction and sets rock hard once it's cured. Just make sure you wipe any drips or excess residue off as once it's gone off it's near impossible to remove.
