Road tax differences.
I remember reading somewhere that there is quite a difference in the cost of road tax depending on the year of registration for 75's. I looked at a facelift model and the road tax seemed a lot! My 75 ( if I get one ) will be my toy so needs to be as cheap to run as poss. What 75 do you have and what is the road tax cost please. Mike

X-reg and older went purely on engine size and as all 75 engines are greater than 1500cc they all pay the same tax (£245ish/year?). Y-reg and newer went on emissions so the tax will differ between engine and gearbox combinations. Tax bands were expanded circa 2006 IIRC vastly increasing the tax for higher polluters, though it is not retrospective so only the handful of 75s that somehow managed to get registered after then would be affected.
Cheapest 75 to tax is (to my knowledge) a Y-reg onwards 116 diesel manual. £180/year at the moment. |
