Default Hot and Cold

Just had my 75 out this morning, noticed that the heaters did not seem to be as hot as usual. Temperature gauge reading midway then suddenly it got hot, a short while later, cold again.
So took note of what was happening, it appears that when cruising on a flat, the heater is cold/warm however when under load... accelerating or going up a hill, hey presto, Hot Heaters.

Anyone had this before, (I never noticed over the last few weeks as the missus has had the car, and she gives a blank expression when asked if it has happened to her...got to love them)

Diesel Engine Auto Box.

I'd think it's probably got the typical diesel thermostat syndrome. You can confirm it by running the trip screen in diagnostic mode while repeating the same journey. That will display the actual engine temperature. It should be running in the 90C area at all times.

This is the original thread that started it all. It's a very long read, so maybe jump into the middle area.

Found this on E Bay believe it's the correct thermostat, so will have a go at fitting this.... just need to read that lengthy thread again, to ensure its done correctly. (saw something about drilling holes) need to check that out
