back in the fold with wiper and heater problems

Hi guys it's with great happiness that after 10 months I am now back in the fold having bought a rover 75 Connie cdti auto. I will rejoin the club soon. Anyway I already need help. The car was bought with a few issues. First the wipers don't work and secondly the heater blower is dead. Any ideas where to start looking? By the way it's got a wet boot and sat nav, will this have anything to do with the problem? Cheers guys looking forward to enjoying being a club owner again.

Bump any thoughts guys? Pick the car up Wednesday. I'm thinking BCU problems maybe? Does anybody repair them here? Cheers
