Default ooeerr. Boot floor sinking.

As above, the hardboard on my boot floor seems to have sunk, prob due to all the junk I put in there for my holiday.

I think I will get a wooden one made locally first chance I get... Anyone done it?

Been thinking about getting one made out of either Polycarb or ABS plastic, cut to size, then jigsaw'ed out the notches- Mostly as it can get a bit damp in there and i've noticed the mdf one i have can get a bit mouldy at times

Mine has done the same but now I have an alloy spare not a space saver and because the wheel is higher it doesn't sink now as it is flat against it rather than there been nothing in the middle to support it. Maybe it would be an idea for anyone with a space saver to use some kind of packing material on the spare to support the middle just an idea

James, just get a sheet of 1/2 inch plywood and draw round the old one and cut a new one out, and then cut the handle bit out and bobs your auntie...
Then stick the carpet on with some contact adhesive,be less than a tenner to do..

Damp is a problem, I intend to remove the ski flap and keep the armrest down through the winter to allow warm air access..

Turn the board upside down over the winter and it will reverse itself over time.
