Default DD Volume Control

Can any one tell me if I can balance the volume control between the Radio & the Sat Nav.

When I switch Ign OFF, and then back on all volume controls have reverted to OFF, and I have to turn up volume controls to req level again. This applies to Radio & Sat Nav.

Also is there a way that I can balance the volume between the two, i.e. same volume level on both units on switch on.

I have played with the setup controls but no good.

Cheers

A good question, Alf, which I don't know the answer to.

You must be able to configure it. If I have mine turned right down and then switch the ignition off then on again, it comes back at mid volume, every time.

The satnav voice is in the background, but audible, if I am listening to the radio.

Quite happy with my setting, but I would be interested on how they can be changed.

Hi Alf, A Question first, is your head unit Storing radio Stations ? Etc ?

The reason I ask, Is that I was wondering if you had the Constant feed reversed so that it was not receiving the trickle milliamps required to maintain the memory and stored preferences.
Cheers

A very good point there Sean.
That could be the reason .
Sorry about my late reply, I've been busy updating the iOS on my phone
If it's holding the memories ok let us know Alf and we will talk you through the volume settings

To set the radio volume on start up go into the menu settings and make sure volswitch is selected then on Vol Limit set it to the volume you prefer ,you can try different settings till you find the level you prefer. For SatNav I use TomTom and you use the radio tuning knob to adjust the volume of the spoken instructions.Using iGo8 press the quick menu icon on the bottom left of the screen then use the slider that pops up to adjust the volume.

If you prefer to have no music playing while using the SatNav then deselect GPS listen in the menu.

Hi Jeff

I will try those options , hopefully they will work.

No progress on speakers at moment due to being unwell. So I've just got the nearside passenger done so far. Will crack on when I can.

I've got the same problem with Powerfolds, and Xenons, they are just gathering dust.

On the bright side DD is working a treat,

Cheers
