Default Help re: Alpine CDE-W235BT Double Din install

Hello all,

I'm planning on getting the Alpine CDE-W235BT Double Din to replace the Highline package in my ZT (03).

I've read around the forum, but always end up confused by perplexing talk of looms, adaptors, virgin sacrifices etc. There doesn't seem to be a simple guide to it. I'll get it done, but need some guidance (pretty please).

I know i'll need a fascia adaptor, but what other bits will I need to make it so?

My main concerns are:
  • the steering wheel controls (i'm guessing i'll need something to make them work)
  • the HK sub + amp (is there any way to keep them both working with the new headunit?)
  • are the HK speakers any good or should I upgrade right away? (At the moment they sound terrible, and the sub is disappointing, but that could just be the Highline headunit)
  • is it worth trying to sell the HK parts? What could I get for them?
  • unknown unknowns!

Any help/pointers much appreciated. Thanks.
