Default 1-year oil change intervals (CDT)

Lately, due to lower needs, I've been using my CDTi far less than I used to in the past years.

As a result, while the on-board computer says that next inspection service is due in about 5k miles, approx. 18 months have passed since my previous service.

My car gets driven without any kind of particular stress and the oil level is at about half way between min and max.

Do you think I should wait until the computer says it's time for service or should I get the car partially serviced now, to change oil and oil filter?

I have to agree with Black Olive. For the small cost of replacing the oil and filter it is not worth taking the risk.

I change mine about half way through the 15,000 miles (5 times a year in my case)
I know people will say you don't need to with modern oils,
but it is just something I have always done and to keep car in tip top condition.

The official MGR service schedule is every 15,000 miles or annually which ever occurs first. Low mileage cars should receive the specified servicing every 12 months irrespective of their mileage. The specified service schedule can be found here:http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/inde...epage=techdata
