I have already posted a favourable comment on that website relating to the story, using my other 'alias' (clue: it has an obvious Rover link).

Default Happy bunnies everywhere

I think this will be a case of happy bunnies everywhere. I am happy I got it moved on and am now focusing on something else for a while. And my South African buyer is happy he got an addition to his collection he always fancied. Will live next to two Rolls-Royces, three Jags and a Bentley Continental. Sounds like a nice life ahead.

Well done - is he driving it home? :xmas-smiley-029:. Containerising it will cost a bit.

I think it will stay in the UK for now, and then potentially will be sent via container. Nobody in their right mind would attempt a drive like that - in a 75 V8.

Now i am prepared for all the suggestions of people who think they would. :-)

Now even though I'd be up for that road-trip realistically it'll be shipped.

In a former life I was involved in freight forwarding and used to arrange personal effects shipping, including vehicles, between the continents.

My claim to fame at the time was that I shipped George Best's Bentley to the USA, looked really good parked on my drive overnight :xmas-smiley-029:, as the
stevedores weren't happy about driving it also had to load it into the container.
