Default For sale: 2004 ROVER 75 CONTEMPORARY SE T SILVER **SOLD**

2004 ROVER 75 CONTEMPORARY SE 1.8T IN SILVER

Up for sale is my facelift mk2 Contemporary SE model with the 1.8 turbo petrol engine and manual gearbox producing 150bhp. It has covered 96,668 miles since been registered in 2004. As you can see from the pictures the car is in very good condition, externally and internally. The MOT runs out end of July 2013 and the tax needs renewing from the end of February 2013.

As this is the top of the range model it comes with a superb specification:

  • Full black leather interior
  • Heated seats
  • Powered electric front seats with memory function
  • Electronic climate control
  • Black oak style dash and console
  • Leather steering wheel and gear knob
  • 17 inch alloy wheels
  • Electric windows and mirrors
  • Front and side airbags
  • Rain sensing wipers
  • Rear parking sensors
  • Harmon Kardon 180w premum speaker system
  • Wharfedale bluetooth cd tuner
  • Remote central locking
  • Hi-line trip computer with Trafficmaster
  • Aoto dipping rear view mirror

MECHANICALS

Mechanically the car is in very good condition and has had many major components already replaced, backed up by a large number of receipts as can be seen in the pictures. The head gasket was replaced in 2006 by Dixon Motors. I can confirm that the car is running fine without using any water at all and there is no water in the oil. The clutch was replaced in January 2010 and is operating as it should with no slipping. The timing belt was replaced in February 2010. The car always starts on the first turn of the key.The car rides superbly and soaks up all the bumps with no creaks, groans or rattles.Gearchanges are nice and smooth.Brakes are good with no juddering or fade.

The car has recently had a brand new exhaust system, rear brake pads and a brand new quality Varta battery which was installed only a few weeks ago. The car does require a new front indicator bulb which I have purchased but not got round to fitting.
The car has a recorded service history up to 49,000 miles and then lots of paperwork to show work carried out since then. All the old MOT's are included with the paperwork as well as the V5.

BODYWORK

Obviously you are not buying a new car but there are no major dents to the bodywork, only a small number of age related scuffs to the bumpers and front wing as you would expect from any 8 year old vehicle. The car looks excellent when clean and polished up as can be seen from the pictures. Its certainly in great condition for its age!

INTERIOR

The interor of the car is very well appointed with the full leather upholstery which is in very good condition. The only noticeable wear is on the drivers seat bolster which is extremely common on these cars (see picture). There are also some minor flecks of white paint on the seat. The car has lots of features inside, is very luxurious and one of the most comfortable cars i have driven. All the electrical items work including the heated and electric seats, parking sensors etc. There is a replacement stereo which is a Wharfedale bluetooth system which can be used with a mobile phone. The climate control air con system is blowing nice and cold too.

One area of the car which needs attention is a leak is the boot area.

WHEELS AND TYRES

The 17 inch alloy wheels are generally in good condition but could probably do with a refurb if i was been brutally honest. The tyres are excellent Pirelli winter tyres with plenty of tread - ideal for the coming winter months!!

PAPERWORK

As stated there is a mountain of paperwork included with the car with thousands of pounds of bills, all the MOT's, handbook and service history documentation. There is HPI report included and the V5 registration document also. There is 1 key.

MOT AND TAX

Taxed until end of Feb 2013
MOT runs out end of July 2013

They're 215/60/17 Pirelli winter tyres. Certainly give good grip in the wet.

Nice looking car.
The photos maybe too large as the right hand border is missing in the description and the viewer needs to scroll along using the bottom scoll bar - without scrolling the 2nd line ends 2004. As you can see fro.
Mechanicals- Head gasket was replace.
Whether its worth shortening the long sentences or its my computer at fault i dont know.
