Default Front seat rear plastic panel

The back panel on my drivers seat has popped out and the lower two clips are hanging by a thread.

I need to glue them as a replacement panel is not available unless I buy the entire seat.

Anyone know what kind of plastic these are made from?

I can't decide whether to try Airfix Model cement (polystyrene) or plumbers PVC joint glue, or in fact is it a different type of plastic?

If you remove the seat back completely Bob, it will have markings on it for date made, part no, and somewhere will be the type of plastic used, I am guessing at PP (Polypropylene) with some type of mineral filler, best to check before you get busy with the glue!

If it's any help i broke the front cup holder and managed to get a piece of cable tie and melt it with the rest using an old soldering iron as all the glues i tried would not work.

Polypropylene is a good shout and unfortunately is not a plastic that has a solvent based glue as it's a thermal plastic. The only way to "glue" it is to use 2-pack epoxy, a lot of weight to keep it in place and leave it 24hrs. All of which is tricky and no guarantee it will work, as they say - needs must.

Suppose I could glue the thing in place, I can't think of any reason I'd ever need to take it off again.
