Petrol Redex in a CDT??

I have 3 1/2 bottles of Redex for petrol engines and I want to clean the injectors on my CDT.

Q; is it safe to put the Petrol Redex in a deisel car?

personally i would,nt risk it , it could strip the oily coating from the high pressure pump and other pumps that require constant lubrication .

I've been adding just diesel to my CDT for the last 307k miles and the HP pump and injectors are original and still working fine.

If you must put anything else in get a proper diesel treatment or injector cleaner. You can add a bit of two-stroke oil if you want - many owners do.

I know you are right; not worth the risk. I was hoping that someone more techie than me (most people really) might have susted that the petrol and deisel Redex was the same stuff, just in different bottles.

It just bugs me that the stuff is sitting there when I need the Deisel Redex.

Why don't you sell it on here, use the proceeds to buy the diesel additive.
