If you can get a Walnut freelander handgrip for £9.99 plus postage then please let me know, as these as far as I have seen cost around the £40-£50 mark from LR dealers.

Some times ago they were relatively cheap. Look here> http://www.alibaba.com/product-free/...INAL_HAND.html

I used to have one on my 75 (which was removed when I traded it and sold to a member on here). It was a well known mod on the forum and very popular. You simply have to remove the inner sleeve and it then fits the 75 handbrake quite well (with a little packing out to stop it spinning).

There was a number available from a Land Rover dealer via ebay for a while and they were certainly quite cheap (compared to genuine MGR ones) but sold out fast.

If your local LR dealer is selling them at that price there is bound to be some interest on here Poppy.

Do a search for Freelander walnut grip and you will find numerous posts about the subject.

Yeah, that was probably when I bought mine so likely the same dealer as was selling them on ebay. The list price was (and is) much much more than the £9.99 mark.

There was a thread running (This ONE) in 2009 when the batch of £9.99 ones appeared, with a resultant flurry of orders. Unfortunately the old ebay links don't work.

2-3 years ago makes the heads up a bit too late. 2-3 weeks ago might of been of more relevance. Most people using EBay now, realise the risks involved.

Ditto!

There was someone posted on here a while back with a similar tale (about how he'd paid a fortune for one off eBay but then went to his local LR dealer who had 50 or so on the shelf......)
