Send a PM to gerry3 he will respond. He is not on everyday but if you have trouble contacting him he lives around 3 miles from me

I would say that replacing the pump is involved, rather than difficult. You need to jack the RHS remove the undertray and the RHS inner wing guard, support the engine, remove the RHS engine mounting, remove the plastic belt covers, loosen the pulley (can be tight, very tight) lock the cams in position, remove the belt, replace the pump and reverse the operation.
Not too difficult, but it will take some time.
You might as well replace the belt.
Thanks, got a quote for new water pump and cambelt 170 quid fitted, seems reasonable? It's not the sort of job I fancy tackling myself.

Success. Water pump was definitely the problem - replaced that, don't have to worry about cambelt again either. Very reasonable rates, I've know the guy for years and he has vast experience with the K series engine (all engines in fact - car and commercial). Small outfit - just him and his missus. Anyone in the Huddersfield area needing work doing then send me a PM. Highly recommend.

The wait (only about a week for mine - each is hand made to order) is more than worth it for the Gerry T. I had an ooze from all 3 'arms' of the original 'T' but after fitting the Gerry T all has been fine.

It does says on the back of the bottle that you should not use it on an 8 series Rover...

dont use k seal or any other type of engine coolant leak seal! from experience k seal will stop small water leaks but will also will block water channels and silt up your rad leading to unexplained over heating probs!
