I used to have one on my 75 (which was removed when I traded it and sold to a member on here). It was a well known mod on the forum and very popular. You simply have to remove the inner sleeve and it then fits the 75 handbrake quite well (with a little packing out to stop it spinning).

There was a number available from a Land Rover dealer via ebay for a while and they were certainly quite cheap (compared to genuine MGR ones) but sold out fast.

If your local LR dealer is selling them at that price there is bound to be some interest on here Poppy.

Do a search for Freelander walnut grip and you will find numerous posts about the subject.

Yeah, that was probably when I bought mine so likely the same dealer as was selling them on ebay. The list price was (and is) much much more than the £9.99 mark.

There was a thread running (This ONE) in 2009 when the batch of £9.99 ones appeared, with a resultant flurry of orders. Unfortunately the old ebay links don't work.

2-3 years ago makes the heads up a bit too late. 2-3 weeks ago might of been of more relevance. Most people using EBay now, realise the risks involved.

TBH I view e-bay as a possible source of items, but I also check out numerous other sites for equivalents and often get items far cheaper than on e-bay.

I discovered this a long time ago when I received an Amazon packaged item that I had purchased via e-bay. The seller made £2.00 on his sale

But if he does a lot this way then each £2.00 can amount to a lot of money with no stock to hold

E-bay is no longer the cheaper option..... In plain English... Buyer .... BEWARE
had exactly the same with a torque wrench of the bay it came from amazon with £2 pounds added

I bought something for £15 off ebay for a friend. Item from Australia. I didnt bother looking to much at the postage cost as it said contact for delivery costs. Well for what it was I didnt think it would be much more than a fiver so went ahead. It was more than the item, Doh...

Ebay fakers, they're phonies I tell ya.

Reminds me of one of the very first Bay sales—'Genuine British £1 coin—offers'. If I remember rightly, it sold for about £60.00 lol. And yes, it was a standard £1!!!
