Its called design after thought. The unit is basically two parts actuator and valve. the actuator is okay but the valve seals will let water through and are not man enough for the water pressure. The actuator does not have the power to help push so over a short time it will let through. The valve we've made is far more robust but 40% bigger but the space can accommodate this. The actuator and valve together as long as they are set up right will do the job. Had it fitted to mine for a while now and hot is hot and cold is cold

Ahhhhh I'm with you, so the valve is a plunger arrangement pushed & pulled by the actuator? An odd thing I noticed was with the engine off cold is one way & hot is the other but with the engine running it reverses

No, the valve is actually a rotating 3-way valve and dodgy to say the least.
