If you phone them you can get it installed for free and not keep the old box.

Yep, very true, but it does depend on who you get on the other end of the phone. Sometimes you get someone who won't budge! A good idea is to mention you're considering a switch to Sky, that normally gets you put through to Retentions who have more power to discount

Previously I had the top TV package with sports & movies, 20mb broadband, and additional webspace. Total cost was around £71 a month. When I moved I switched to V+ HD, took the old set-top box in one of the bedrooms, kept the same broadband and webspace, and subscribed to their phone service including free calls etc. Now my payments will be £82 a month (but I'm effectively paying about the same as I was, because I no longer have to pay for a BT line rental of £12 a month).

Net cost to me after my company refunds me for the broadband portion... £45 a month.

Just spoke to them, will not give free installation but the best I can get is a one off inst charge of £49. and no increase in payments. Then I get the record, rewind an HD.

I just so have to have it.

I'm paying £57 a month for Xl on everything and a Z+ box that I had as an upgrade for free.

I like the fact I never pay for phone calls.

You try calling an 0870 or 0845 number.
