First place to look is under the drivers seat as this is where the connection lives and is know to fail and need pushing together again.

There are two connectors under both front seats, one yellow and one blue.
Pull them apart and reinsert them 3 or 4 times to clean the contacts...

Some people have cut these connector blocks out and soldered the wires together as a a possible fix to eliminate bad contact in the connector blocks. I had this done but unfortunately it didnt solve my problem! The airbag ECU could be your problem if its not the connestors, this was the problem I had and only a new/second hand airbag ECU will sort that one out. Could also possibly be a fuse so I should check that one out first.
I bought my second hand airbag ECU off ebay £30 Last edited by justmicky; 15th July 2009 at 11:50.. |

Further to my reply with your fault on the airbag system - if it is the airbag ECU at fault which was my problem and you do need a new ECU, I paid £30 for a second hand one off ebay. Just noted this member DEViANCE has one for sale for £10 - bargain - but you would have to have a look at the old one to check it is the right part number first!
