As said though on Holidays no problem anywhere as far as I know.
you are right about alloys in germany. i have never seen the type of "updating" that occures in this country. everything that is fitted to your car, has to be in the "log book", even the size of tyres that you can use.
my son bought a new steering wheelwhile back hear for a visit. when he took it for the 2 yearly "mot", it failed on the steering wheel.

Question Headlamp 'Magic switch'

Hi Just joined the forum. Mightsound like a daft question to you in the know but: I'm trying to find this 'magic switch' and can't. How do I know if I have the facelift model? Have just bought a 75 CDTi on a 04 plate which according to the log book is a Connoisseur. Registration date was 04-04-04. Many thanks

If you have 4 headlights then it´s not the -facelift model- so probably not have the -magic switch- The facelift (all one headlight) came out in the autumn of 04:lol:Alan

The beam adjuster lever is fitted to all Mark2 (facelift) models, whether they have lamps using bulbs or HIDs ('xenon' is now ambiguous since the advent of xenon bulbs). Here's what the handbook says.

My facelift was registered in May 2004.

some contries and testers wont even pass a uk spec car because the main readout on the speedo is miles and not kilometers, i know uk cars are marked with both but kph must be bigger,,thankgod for the eu standard....
