retrofitting front fogs
I want to upgrade my 04 classic CDT by fitting front fog lights, perhaps rather naively I though it was just a case of getting a second hand switch cluster and a couple of fog lights and plugging everything in!
I am begining to realise that on a 75 nothing is that straight forward. Has anyone done this conversion, and if so what do I need to do? Is the light switch configured to the car it is from as suggested in the earler thread below? http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/foru...ight=front+fog |

The OEM foglamps kit contains the two lamps, a wiring loom, a relay, a replacement switch module (has a split front/rear foglamps button), some cable ties, a pair of replacement bezels (Mark 1 models only), six self-tappers, six screw clips (Mark 1 only) and an instruction leaflet.
The switch unit is just the front bezel/buttons/thumb wheel adjuster and is a direct replacement for the old one. The electronics part of the module (containing the data backup) isn't replaced. The relay plugs into a blank space in the under-bonnet fuse box. The loom connects to each lamp, an earth point and to the large multi-socket that plugs into the fuse box. One of the existing wires in this plug is removed, tied back and replaced from the new loom. Without the instructions it's impossible to figure out. TC |

i got every thing off ebay plus the front full wiring harness .i found it easy to fit the full harness instead of the fog light loom .as you just swop the switch front put relay in fuse box .they worked straight away. i have a spare front harness if any one wants it for just pp.you have to get the fog lights to fit the harness as there is two types mine was a 52 cdt tourer
