Wind noise
My new CDTi saloon suffers from excessive wind-rush noise starting from around 20mph, increasing with speed until really very loud. I've had some on previous cars but nothing like this. Seems to be coming from the passenger side, possibly around the top corner of the front windscreen.
Nothing's obvious. Any ideas? Dougie. |

I seem to remember that someone had wind noise from the top of the drivers door. Probably similar to what you are experiencing, his solution has to hold the top of the door frame above the window and give it a shove inwards. I think he actually might have had someone else holding the door open.

Dougie try moving the striker door plate inwards a little, mark around the plate with a pencil before adjusting also check the rubber stops they may need turning in a little, similar to the ones on the boot which stops the Tommy gun effect, see if it pulls the door tighter into the door frame.

The old dodge for wind noise was to place a piece of paper over the door and close it then try and pull out the paper where a gap exists the paper moves easily. the door then can be adjusted either on the striker plate or by reshaping slightly. If reshaping put the window down first
