Kv6 wont start but will run on easy start
Hi just had a call from local chap with facelift v6 auto,was running rough due to being stood for 5 years in a garage,had the belts done full service in garage hey presto runs and drives as usual.drives home,runs around on a couple of errands then wont start,so back to garage change fuel pump,can hear running,all usual things checked ie innertia switch,releys etc but still wont fire without help from eather can any of the gurus shed any light to where to go next thanks in advance

Has the fuel filter been checked for separation?

He means the one in the fuel tank by the way (fuel filter syndrome if you want to do a search for it)

But firstly don’t believe the fuel gauge, try putting a bit more fuel in. Floats stick, giving false readings. Then filter is a good call if that’s not the case.

If it's a later model (post-2001 as I recall) and there's juice in the RHS of the tank, then put your money on FFS (Fuel Filter Syndrome). If so, the fix is easy by fitting a FOC (Fabled Organge Clip). Or is it the FWC nowadays?
