Good morning Ian, that was probably the double decker A380 doing a side slip landing into the wind where it lands side-on and turns it’s nose straight into the wind in the last possible moment, with amazing skill and daring from the 2 pilots....eeks!

Evening all, 'Orrible cold windy rainy night out there, The heatings on full blast.
It's been shopping day today and my missus has done us proud! Three Sirloin steaks reduced by 45% on the reduced shelf So I did pan fried steak, garlic mushrooms/onions,new potatoes and knocked up a white mustard sauce to go with the cauliflower, Even had Jeff's favourite veg, sprouts.

Evening all, been a day of sunny spells, strong winds and heavy showers today.
Things have taken a forward leap re my van today, it was originally going to the new buyer in France at the start of next month, but things have changed and he wants it this weekend, as his transportation arrangements have been brought forward due to a cancellation. I have been and viewed a couple of vans today, one in the flesh and one online. The online one is most likely my choice, 44000 miles and 12 months warranty. The finance isn’t too bad either. It’s at another branch further away in the country, but they said they would bring it up for me if I wanted to go for it. I am not jumping in this time, as I got my fingers burnt last time, so if it’s not what I want,I will do a few days on the coaches instead of working for myself until I find the right van,

Crabbing is what that technique is often called Phil among some in the industry. Another impressive technique is aerodynamic braking which is something which I have seen best performed by the Vulcan V bomber. It is the sit up and beg display as it rolls down the runway nose up and high after landing saving on streaming the brake chute and dropping the nose onto the nosewheel gear close to the end of the runway.
