Thanks Matthew - to be honest this thread didn't go as planned at all.
I thought it would be a bit of fun to post up thinking that the first reply would be asking why and then I could do the big reveal. Unfortunately after starting the thread I was off line travelling back home and by the time I had got back on line I was, as I said earlier, well and truly humbled by all the good wishes and sentiments. makes my rover 75 Tourer on 312,000 miles look low miles!! LOL
However can match it on the engine though, NO major changes from when Longbridge made the car, Had an alternator on 279,000 miles and one fuel pump in the engine bay on 300,500 miles the one in the rear is still the original pump & only one clutch at 209,000 miles, the second one still going strong. only had two exhausts too at 17 years old, This Rover 75 is the best £22000 grand investment i have ever made in cars. heres to the next 80,000 miles!!!! |
