Default T4 comms issue with EMS2000

Hello all

It has been a long time since i have posted on here. I have not had a 75 / ZT for a long time (having Rover 620ti and MG ZS180) but i now have a ZT CDTi.

I was finally able to get hold of the T4 operating system (RDS 5.06) last week. I have had the T4 unit and most of the cables for ages. (rescured it from the skip when i was working in a Land Rover dealer) I just didn't have the RDS operating system (final T4 RDS 7.00 was pre installed on dealer machines from JLR)

Have to say it was nice to use T4 again, brought back some memories when i would use it every day on Land Rover.

Anyway used it without issues on my ZT and was able to set the car up to how i wanted in dealer configuration.

However i have then used it on my ZS180 but i am unable to get comm's with EMS2000 when going into system diagnostic. (i am using disc DST0004) The strange bit is under VIN validation etc T4 can read the VIN from EMS2000 and i was able to get the configuration data. So the problem doesn't seem to be wiring related.

Is anyone else with T4 able to advise on if they have had this problem before? As i don't have the yellow lead i don't think i would be able to fit a new engine ECU so i am hoping that it is not problem. I am wondering if the ECU has been chipped/reflashed at some point and that could be causing an issue.

Help with this matter would be most welcome

I found out the same on my sons ZS180 too, also issue on 45 V6. There’s a bug that can help fix that. (DST0006W) Phil-T4 developed it. I hope he does not mind me saying? He is one of those background hero guys that has developed this amongst other things. Perhaps if you speak kindly to him he’ll help out.

Many thanks to T4-Phil for coming to my aid with modified T4 software.

Was able to confirm my ZT CDTi is running at 135ps as well (Says 114 on logbook)
