Default Charge fault keeps coming on and off

Charge fault keeps coming on and off even though it’s charging at 14.3-14.4v. Battery tested the battery which said replace so it’s had a new battery and I’ve swapped the regulator pack on the alternator for one from a working alternator.

I’ve had this problem b4 buddy and after replacing the battery and alternator
The problem persisted
After much investigation I removed the bumper and traced the loom up the inner wing behind the washer bottle and lo and behold where the loom crosses the chassis there was not 1 but 3 broken and chafed wires !
Only found upon thorough investigation and make sure to strip the insulation back so you can see the wires individually
I was alerted to this problem via the forum because it’s widely known
Another member Ron (snagger) had in the past experienced the same problem
And on his insistence I persisted with my search
I also have to point out I didn’t find the damage first time around
Regards
Chris
