Default 1.8t cutting out

Hi all,

My brothers ztt 1.8t is cutting out about 3 times a day, when you leave it for 5 minutes it starts again no problem

he has changed the intank fuel pump as we thought this was the problem but its still doing it

any ideas ?

On my ZTT, these symptoms were cured with a new crank sensor.

After a head gasket change (actually the Wellsealed shim had let go...) some 400 miles from home, I took the car for a hard run. Once the engine compartment temperatures got good & high, it started misfiring. Pulled over and would not restart.

After 10 mins with bonnet open wiggling wires, restarted fine.

Repeat x2, but without wiggling wires...
