Its more likely they dont want any lawsuits on their hands...
They cant go giving stuff away to the general public, you don't know how they may hurt themselves with such dangerous materials.

That's true also.

They're struggling as it is. The last thing they care about is us lot wanting a bit of history.

We are going to have to face facts soon as I don't think it'll be long before it's all on the pile.

Last I heard they'd given the order to empty the insides of the factory into skips.

Yep, the shell is being handed back to St Modwen in April, so the contents are being stripped out.

If they gave Rover/MG owners carte blanche to take what they wanted, they would save a fortune in transport and clearance charges!It would be like a new years sale rush!

Within a week it would be stripped cleaner than most operating theatres...

Incidentally, while I didn't get into the factory, I did get under it, and there are some 1970's exhaust systems down there stacked up
