The genuine Rover diesel mount should have the letter T printed on it, if not then it is not OE, you can use power flex ones but some have said they still feel a little vibration I myself never have or did, maybe that is because I use the original centre form the original mount and not the solid steel centre sent by power flex.

You can also use the Jag/Mondeo mount. both need a little modifying

Always keep the gears in neutral when removing the mount and replacing it other wise if you remove the mount while it is in gear or park you will find it hard to line up once you try to fit it. Arctic
Wow thanks, that was info really important as no one has mentioned auto selection when changing lower mount.
Regarding mount, thank you so much for clarifying the amount of pt numbers flying around, As it happens I ordered one from DMRS ( 1x Rover 75 / MG ZT CDT/CDTi Lower Engine Mount KKH101402 DIESEL)which appears to meet your advised criteria?

Hi Derek.
With regards to the outlined section above, the mount Dmgrs supplies will not have the letter T on it, I will let Mat himself explain this to you, as I have done in the past, a little information also which maybe help to other new members whom read this are that the mounts with letter P stamped into them are for the 2.0/2.5 Petrol engines, and the letter M is for the 1.8/1.8T engines.

As I stated I linked the genuine diesel mount above with the letter T stamped on it.

Yes it is important that when fitting any lower engine mount regardless of the engine that the car is in neutral, when removing and re-fitting, also make sure the wheels are chocked and that someone is with you while you are under the car if you are doing the job your self, you will require a 15 socket or ratchet spanner to remove the bolts, remove the smaller one first, good luck Arctic.

PS some good reading if you have sometime

If you mean Matt at DMGS,I cannot find a phone number in order to speak to them? Can you provide?
I assume the mount I have chosen listed for 75 Diesels pt no:KKH101402 as supplied by DMGS is correct? Thanks once again,

There is no phone number something else Mat would have to explain himself, the mount he supplies as been used by quite a few members, but not by myself personally, I have used the original I listed and also the power flex ones.

Material I used was rather odd. We had purchased a new mattress and the missus didn't like it so I cut it up and used the foam filler as insulation.
Around the spare wheel area I used a good quality carpet underlay.

On the XF I used the same underlay around the wheel but purchased some thick filling material from Dunelm Mill. They stock it in their material departments in large rolls.

Just to confirm I ordered one from Mat, its not a genuine mount as pointed out. I did raise with him that his pictures are incorrect and display a genuine mount and asked him to change these for the benefit of potential purchasers but this has fallen on deaf ears. Incidentally I did fit the mount and it works ok (just to give balance to the argument). My issue was the misleading sales pitch.

Somehow I think my missus would kick up if I tore open the mattress, but point taken, any decent foam(2nd hand furniture etc as foam is so expensive),and some suitable underlay. Thankyou

Somehow that rings true, as I spoke to Mat yesterday who assured me that mount shown was the correct diesel mount, not stamped T due for clash with other supplier???
Mount arrived today(cost with postage £53) attached label Pt No:BJX293 which bears no resemblance to mounting pt number ordered ,so have asked Mat to explain the discrepancy. The mount itself seems fine and I will fit asap, but a lot of confusion out there as to correct petrol and diesel fittings.

HI, Being my ageish you must recall when cars had wooden floors, water gushing in past pedals, vacuum wipers plus tubed tyres etc...when every self respecting motorist carried a full tool kit with the invaluable tape and wire!!Anyhow new tyres are on, and you are correct they are good, car glides along, but unfortunately vibration remains, its quite annoying as with the diesel noise its causing resonance in the cab!!I have had 75 Diesels before and they were OK,so somewhere something must be transmitting the engine vibes to body etc!!Beginning to wish I had gone the V6 way as that is another Rover I once owned and they are so quiet and responsive!!Plus the mileage I do these days, cost fuel wise wouldn't have been a problem!!But will persevere there has to be an answer
