Default Technical alert sticky?

I was thinking it may be a good idea to have a technical alert thread where members can post images and descriptions of worrying things they may find on the cars which may be of help to other members???

Today I was working under the battery box on my CDT Auto when I found this NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD- lurking in the hidden depths....

Yep, that's a fuel line being worn away by friction with the battery support tray... the outer protection was worn completely away an the inner core was starting to chaff...

managed to protect with some hose and clips to shield the area again and I will keep an eye open for a new pipe...

May be worth checking on your diesels chaps...
