Dear Zola66

Much depends on how the gasket has gone, and how far you drove it after the failure.

If there is a lot of mayonnaise to clear out of the water jacket then labour charges will out-turn fairly high due to the time spent flushing out the system. Also the job is basically all labour, the gasket set is not that expensive. As far as I recall, it was about £300 up here in Crewe, but in your neck of the woods, work on motors seems to be much more expensive in labour. 8 hours labour (??) at £nn per hour, plus the gasket set, plus VAT. Allow £50 an hour for labour I would think, maybe more.

You might also need new head bolts, the long ones that go right through the block into the oil rail at the bottom of the engine.

With the 2 litre KV6 it is a more complex job then the 1.8 and iirc you are unlikely to see much change from £900 to £1k. for the best price and a top quality job drop member on here Lates an email via www.lates600.com.

as above - the price can vary depending on how much flushing is needed. The head bolts can be renewed but they must be measured to check they are still in tollerance

If the OP has a 2.0KV6 I would be very suprised if it has hgf. Cost can go silly if hgf has been diagnosed correctly.
