We did have an old Cheltenham but didn't use it much so have gone back to a tent. We like to tour, unplanned mostly, one or two nights then move on. Possible with a caravan but more cumbersome & fuel costs are prohibitive. Then you have to store it when not on holiday.
I do like a classic caravan though, very civilised.
