Door open warning light.

I would be grateful if someone could perhaps suggest reasons why the door open warning light occasionally flashes when travelling .Is this usually a simple fix or something more sinister?

Bonnet switch needs the water taking out of it. And, or, the rubber buffers either side of the bonner need winding in a little.
