Default How much current & volts can the BCU handle?

Right then folks. I want more interior lights. And I want them brighter.

What I aim to do is replace the regular interior lights with LED bulbs that are brigher than the standard filiament bulbs. I also plan on fitting footwell lights using the same LED bulbs. Question: How many LED's can the interior lighting circuit handle before I fry something?

Next (and much more ambitious) is to create puddle lights. I intend to fit some of those under-car LED's (none-flashing and just in white) to create puddle lights. These would also be run from the interior light circuit. Does anyone think this is doable?

When fitting the above, I'm hoping it's possible to wire the footwell LED's and the puddle lights on the same lighting circuit as the 'main' interior light (ie they only come on when you unlock the doors, etc) I do not want them to light when you push the map-reading button. Is this possible to do?

Well i have 2X 5Watt foot well lights and a 2nd boot light wired in and have no prob what so ever!

Chris on here has 4X 5watt foot well lights, so with LED i dont think you will have a single problem.

In fact I have gone for LEDs all around now, but one 5W bulb probably sucks more current than all the LEDs put together! So you should be OK.
