Alpine cd changer
just installed alpine cd changer to my 2000 classic se (the car didn't have the prefixed wiring)it came with the loom to connect to the radio,I have connected and the cd goes through all the right motions like changing discs and shows on radio what disc and track but can't get any sound... am I doing, or have I connected something up wrongly.

Firstly - to the club
Firstly and a half - moved to the ICE forum where it ought to gain propper attention Secondly - recheck all your connections, then re-check your re-check. Thirdly, are you sure you have the right cables and adapters all in the right slots etc. Does the headunit still make a noise using radio/tape functions etc? If so it could well be either a duff cd changer or more likely a dodgy/incorrect connection somewhere. Information on what headunit you have would be appreciated plus any MG-Rover part numbers of the adapters/looms and the cd changer would also help our ICE experts diagnose your problem further. |
